Mr. Teeter is one of the leaders who instructs and facilitates 21st Century Police Leadership (21CPL) for the State of Washington. This is a three week intensive online 21st Century Police Leadership training program designed for police executives and leaders. This class was developed in partnership with Microsoft and is conducted by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission. The training is broken up into three key modules: emotional intelligence, effective communication and cultivating culture. The course culminates in a capstone project where students use the skills learned to create a plan to implement meaningful improvement within their organization.
What differentiates 21CPL is that the topics covered are those most critical to law enforcement leaders right now, and that it is not just “head” knowledge that is imparted. You will learn the background and theory behind the techniques presented, and you will walk away with techniques you can put to use right away. Putting these ideas into practice immediately impacts the effectiveness of your unit and more importantly, the sense of engagement, belonging, morale and satisfaction in the people working around you on your teams and as your peers.
If you are a Washington State law enforcement leader, please contact the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission to sign up for this training. If you are outside of the State of Washington and are interested in more information, or in bringing this training to your agency or area, please complete our contact form and we will connect you with 21CPL Leadership.
